It was as Paul was trying with might and main to be obedient to the law that he actually found

himself opposing God, working against him and persecuting his church. This is what Jesus revealed

to him on the road to Damascus in a way that he could never forget.

In our last study, Paul had written about his confrontation with Cephas or Peter in Antioch.

Paul didn't beat around the bush.

When he saw Peter doing what was not on the up and up

as far as living the faith of the gospel, Paul just confronted Peter about it publicly to his face.

The problem was that Peter was happily living like a Gentile in Antioch, that is, not bothering

to observe kosher laws and such, maybe enjoying a nice bacon cheeseburger
