Good morning and welcome to the 86th episode of the simple

Sophisticate this Sunday morning a currant we are looking at February 7th

2016 and a lot has happened here in the United States but a lot has been going on around the world and I want to get right into it because we have a lot to get to in fewer than 15 minutes. Here we go. At the end of

January we're talking international news here at the end of January Austria

announced a stricter policy regarding refugees seeking asylum.

Over the next three years more than 50,000 refugees will be repatriated to other safe countries in order to leave Austria.

Along with Sweden and Germany, quote,

Austria has received the largest number of refugee applications

per capita of population, as reported by the international press.

In Lesbos, a Greek island that is often the first stop for refugees fleeing

Syria, this island has become a haven of sanctuary and the local residents are

bearing the brunt. As CNN news reports the arrivals of refugees is unrelenting even as the frigid winter water

temperatures make it dangerous to travel.
