On this week's episode of The Higher Self, I share with you a moment at Awaken where I described to you my very first moment with ayahuasca.

And this is my personal story, my personal very first moment with the plant medicine that changed my life forever.

Somebody mentioned ayahuasca to me, and I was at my wits end.

I didn't know what else to do.

I was all confused about life, and I knew I needed something,

because I was going nowhere, and I was getting there really, really fast.

I heard about ayahuasca, which is something that I had heard about for the last 10 years.

But I was so in my religious dogma back then that, you know, I was programmed to think that

that that was evil.

And so that's what I thought, that that was evil.

And that's for crazy people or whatever the case may be.

And so sure enough, I saw a friend

over New Year's Eve, he was like smiling like he never smiled before. And he had like some

weird hippie face paint on and he was wearing some weird hippie clothes and he was in some weird

hippie forest or something, right? And I was looking at him and I was like,

you know, I know that dude. And I know I'm a dick, but he's a bigger dick. And for him to be

laughing and smiling, the way he's smiling right now, that's not his normal smile. So something is going on. Something is going on,

you know? And so anyhow, like, I put that in the back of my head. I kept crying and purging and

crying and crying and kept staying with myself, no drinking. And things starting to get a little

bit better. And what I realized was happening is I was slowly detaching from the fear, from the matrix,
