I feel like I cover a lot of these monsters, but I looked, and including today's case,

out of 86 episodes, I've only covered five.

I was surprised, but I think it's because we are all inundated with these horrific cases,

but a daily global news cycle.

But these cases are not as common as we think.

Experts estimate there are only 10 to 20 cases per year in the United States, in contrast

with almost 12,000, intimate partner homicides yearly.

But sadly, domestic violence murders are so commonplace, they don't produce shocking

headlines the way family and I-laters do.

We are always horrified, outraged, and can never understand the motivations.
