media members at least you know it used to be when I started covering

when I started covering the Eagles rookie camp was the week before training camp.

The rookies would all come in early. They didn't have mini camps back then. They didn't

have OTA's. that's a relatively new

invention but it was interesting because you know they they'd have that kind of

head start and some of the coaches know, sometimes they'll do a few rookie days before training camp starts.

Not as much anymore, right?

I think Doug's thing is if he has a quarterback he wants to do it so maybe they'll do it this year

this is kind of like the head start for OTA's for the rookies they get a chance to

be out there by themselves and it really they say it really helps yeah I think so

Helps them get their feet otherwise it's it's too much at once if the vets are all there and it's it's like a whole new world and now you got to deal with you

you know guys been playing in the league for 10 years next to you. I was thinking of a

cartoon I saw in I think it was in the New York or many many many years ago

where this little kid this little kid comes home he's dressed up in

like a little league outfit and and as you know his mom says how did you do today
