If you are not handy or good at fixing up properties with your own two hands, is it possible to

still be successful as a real estate investor? That's the question we're going to tackle in

this Ask Coach edition of the podcast, and we're getting started right now.

My name is Chad Carson.

You know, I totally get this question because if you think about the core of real estate investing, you think about HGTV, house flipping shows, landlords who

1:19.5

I've hired other people to do that.

1:21.6

And so that's my quick answer to this question is, do you need to be handy and to be

1:26.8

successful in real estate investing? The answer is no.

1:30.1

But there's some nuance to that response because if you are handy, if you are a contractor,

1:35.3

if you enjoy flipping houses, fixing them up, turning them around, it can be a real asset for you.

1:39.6

So if that's the case for you, don't shy away from that. In fact, embrace that and say, this is a great reason to get into real estate investing

1:46.6

because unlike buying a stock, unlike buying a bond, putting money in a CD in a bank,

1:52.1

you can actually influence the success of your money, the success of your investment.
