Welcome to our midweek prospect podcast.

It is September 1st.

The calendar has swung from August to September.

We're down to what, I actually don't know when the the season ends but we're down to about 30 calendar

days until the end of the season it's just remarkable uh how fast these seasons go now how fast

life goes as you get older so uh but it's been uh it's been a good season so far it's been a very

good minor league season season i think, to finally actually just see

players play again and get a stat line.

And we're seeing a lot of very, very interesting things.

We're seeing those kids that really performed, who were performing well,

who've really picked up some things last year in 2020.

We're seeing some guys that are still knocking the rust off who did not progress at all last

season during, you know, the hiatus of the Miss minor league season.

And, you know, I'd like to say that guys who went to the alt site definitely

had an advantage over those who basically didn't play at all, didn't play anywhere, took an odd job

or maybe tried to play in a beer league somewhere. It appears for the most part that those guys

who entered the alt site are performing better

but we're also seeing some cases where guys picked up a new pitch

and these beer leagues believe or not so all of that I think is very very fascinating

particularly as I go to games and talk to people
