In today's podcast I'll explain the tools and techniques I used to accomplish this, in hopes of inspiring you and helping with your similar projects.

0:12.3	I'm your host and today I'm going to share with you one of my 2021 projects, which was
0:18.3	to teach my children French and track how much results I could get in one year.
0:27.2	And it was pretty exciting in terms of the actual results. I was able to take one of my children,
0:32.4	my eight-year-old reader, from zero exposure to the French language, to reading at grade level
0:39.9	and enjoying the same content that is created for students of his own age in French in less than
0:47.6	one year. And this is very exciting to me because it has been a fairly pain-free process,
0:54.9	it's been an enjoyable process, it hasn't been a battle in any way, it's been pretty exciting.
0:58.8	And so in today's show, I want to share with you specifically what I have done that has worked
1:04.3	so that you might have some tools to be able to try new things with your own children and get
1:09.7	better results. Now why am I excited about this? So I'm excited about it because this is the second
1:14.2	time that I have done it. And the reason I made this a project for the year is I wasn't sure
1:20.8	what kind of results I could get. We did this one time around with Spanish and I was impressed
1:25.6	with the results there but I hadn't measured them carefully, I hadn't paid much attention to the time
1:30.4	and so I didn't have the best of data. This time around I was like I think I've got some pretty good
1:34.8	methods here. Let me try this with my actual data and see what happens and I've got even better
1:42.4	results. And so now I want to share some of those results with you. But to begin let's back up to
1:47.8	the topic of education. Why am I talking about education and foreign language education here at
1:53.1	radical personal finance? Well, quite simply education and educational goals are at the heart of
