0:25.2	MFL consultant, an Ed Tech guru, and a chat geepty enthusiast. Let me just explain what that actually means. Joe Dale, he's an
0:37.0	MFL consultant, MFL, Modern Foreign Languages and Modern Foreign Language Teaching and and Joe languages and modern foreign language teaching.
0:44.0	And Joe has worked in this field for many years,
0:47.0	first as a French teacher in the UK school system,
0:50.0	and then in other roles, as a consultant giving advice and
0:55.2	tips and knowledge sharing his knowledge and services with other
0:59.7	organizations schools and so on he'll tell you more about it when I ask him to introduce himself. Maybe even this isn't necessary what I'm saying now, but I'm doing it anyway. So, as well as being a Modern Foreign languages consultant, Joe is known as an Ed Tech guru.
1:17.0	Okay, that's someone who consults and gives advice on the use of technology in education, Ed Tech.
1:26.0	Okay, and in fact, Ed Tech, especially the tech part,
1:31.0	is Joe's special area of interest in the field of education, right?
1:35.0	So he's really interested in all the ways that technology can be used in education, in language
1:41.5	teaching.
1:42.6	And of course the most exciting new technology at the moment is AI and probably the most
1:48.1	prominent example of AI, artificial intelligence, in language learning and teaching at the moment is chat
1:55.3	gPT, this is the thing that people have been talking about for the last year or so.
2:00.9	It's not just chat gPT other forms of AI language model are available
2:07.1	but chat gPT is probably the most prominent one. The language-based artificial
2:12.2	intelligence which everyone has been talking about and using for the last year or more
2:18.8	We're still assessing to what extent it can be useful whether it's going to take over the world and put us all out of a job,
