Summary
Comparison is the thief of joy. And the truth is, the things we tend to compare ourselves to aren’t really real. Real life isn’t edited, filtered, and carefully curated to ensure that we present our very best selves to the world at all times.
We know this. But at the same time, we can’t help but compare our perfectly imperfect lives to someone else’s Instagram feed.
Instagram isn’t real life. Reality TV isn’t even real. And when we compare our chapter one to someone else’s chapter twenty, misery is the only outcome. Stop.
On today’s Throwback Thursday episode, Amy Morin reveals the one and only person you should EVER compare yourself to: the person you were yesterday.
