Francis is joined onstage by some of the best chefs in Minnesota, including American Oglala Lakota Sioux chef, Sean Sherman, Somali-American chef, Jamal Hashi, Karyn Tomlinson of Myriel the winner of the 2025 James Beard Award for Best Chef: Midwest and 6-time James Beard Nominee, Diana Moua of Diane's Place to talk about their culinary journeys and the importance of community and culture in food. We’re then joined on stage by a very special guest, Lynne Rossetto Kasper.

So throughout 2025, our show traveled the country, through a live event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the splendid table, but we saved our hometown, the twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, for last.

So on December 5th, just days away from our birthday, we pulled back up to the place that once let an enterprising

producer named Sally Slift and a cooking teacher and cookbook author named Lynn Rosetto

Casper start what at the time seemed like a truly bizarre thing, a radio show about food.

But the cities embraced it, and 30 years later, here we are.
