We are here to talk about the films of one particular director.

It is Haya Miyazaki, the Japanese director of animated films, many of which are near and dear to our hearts.

So we thought we would take some time.

And we've been running up to this because we did our children's film episode

where we talked about this a little bit.

And in the draft of films, John specifically avoided drafting Miyazaki movies.

And I had one of my honorable mention, but I didn't draft anyway.

But you may or may not.

I mean, he's kind of a cult figure, right?

I mean, the people who know him really know him and love him.

And then there are lots of people, I think, who quite sadly have no idea who this guy is.

And he's actually one of the great figures in animated film history.

Yeah, I'm kind of disappointed in our crop of nerds that I thought there would be more Miyazaki nerds.

Even you were not a Miyazaki nerd.

You had seen some and like them, but you had to do a bunch of homework
