8 year-relanders. Eight-year-old Cherish Periwinkle had experienced a chaotic childhood almost from the moment she was born.

Her parents, Rain Perrywinkle and Billy Jeru, had been embroiled in a bitter custody battle that ended with rain being awarded full custody. In June 2013, Cherish was gearing up to fly from Jacksonville,

Florida to California to visit her father. Unfortunately, less than 24 hours before Cherish was

due to fly out, she disappeared.
