For these bad news, the group chat. I'll be processing laugh at the biggest topics in US news and politics. You know, we're talking about a lot of different group chats today

It's really a heavy group chat episode. There's a lot of text messages to unpack the like a gen expert a boomer text messages today

Textually communicated. I mean, I will say that the moral of this entire episode will be just always remember that your text can be subpoenaed and be read aloud in a court of law

So keep that in mind when you're texting friend. Yeah, every single one. I mean, we're talking about quite a lot of text today

But you know that got me thinking as our little our little group chat icebreaker. How would we all describe our texting styles?

I'm definitely one of those people who sends like two to three words at a time, which I know drive some people crazy

But I text like I'm on aim. I love that because because you're setting the tone. Yeah, that's exactly it is that I'm like, well, I want these pauses to be incorporated. Yeah, I want to be it to be read in a comedic way. Yes.

Well, also sometimes I'm like I want you to know I'm processing this as I'm writing. Yeah, yeah, I feel like I write like very like like broken up.

And then also I either write back immediately or it takes me like 20 hours.

Because it's either you're having you know short quick rapid response reactions where you're kind of like stream of consciousness processing as you're talking.

But then you have the ones where it's like you're checking your responding three days after it happened. I'm pretty bad like letting those like quick like we're having a conversation

and then I'll just like get distracted. I know that's I'm definitely guilty of that. I'm also like the things that I'm most likely to read leave on red are like requests so that I need to actually like look at something or like look at my calendar or whatever.

And then I forget or something and now I'm like, oh, fuck, I didn't answer this person.

Or if someone sends me something that I like a meme or like a TikTok or something that I'm supposed to look at, but I can't look at it in that moment.

I'll end up like forgetting. And then the next time I go back to the messages, I'm like, oh shit, they sent me like all this.

But you are just like, oh shit, I got to catch up here. It's not paralyzing to you. Cause for me sometimes I'm like, well, I can't come back. I simply must abandon this and then maybe we'll never speak again.

Oh my god.

I usually will come back at some point at a later time because the knowing that it hung in limbo gives me more anxiety than the comeback.
