I hope you're doing fine wherever you are in the world. Here's a new

episode of my podcast for Learners of English. This podcast is here to help you

improve your English in various ways. I want to help you to get more English into your life

basically. One of the things I like to do in my episodes is to tell you stories and in this

episode it's time for another one.

And this time I would simply like to read you a Sherlock Holmes story.

I love Sherlock Holmes mysteries, and it is my distinct pleasure to share one with you today.

Normally when I read stories to you on this podcast I explain the vocabulary in some detail,

but this story is quite long. it's over 9,000 words, and will probably take about

an hour to read in total.

So there isn't really time for me to explain every single difficult word.

I will summarize the story at intervals to make sure

you're following it okay but the main aim here is just to let you enjoy a

wonderful Sherlock Holmes detective story and so I'm just going to read it to you.
