What has now emerged is the idea that an option to extend to the implementation period could be a further solution to this issue of the backstop in Northern Ireland.

This prolongation of the transition period probably will happen that's a good idea.

During the transition period, the EU will be able to make our laws, the ECJ will be able to judge our laws, and we will have to pay for the E.C.J. will be able to judge our laws and we will have to pay for the privilege.

Theresa May has refused to rule out the idea of Britain remaining under EU rules for three years

after the official leaving date in March 2019.
