Private investigator Ozzy Caban heard a strange crackling noise over a two-way radio that he had given to one of his clients.

Cindy James had been harassed by a stalker for years, and Ozzy had instructed her to call him if she ever needed his help.

Aussie called out on the two-way radio asking if Cindy was okay, but there was no response.

He went straight to her home, and when he knocked on the front door, there was no answer.

The investigator walked around the house and looked through the kitchen window.

He saw Cindy lying on the ground, unconscious.

Ozzy realized he had to act quickly.

He notified emergency services and while he waited, kicked down the front door.

Cindy was unresponsive. In fact, Ozzy could not find any vital signs and thought that

she may be dead. A note written written using cut-out letters from magazines, was stuck to her hand, impaled with a pairing knife.

The note read, You're dead, bitch.

First responders arrived and fortunately they were able to revive the 40-year-old nurse.

Police had been to Cindy's house often as she had reported harassing behavior over the preceding two years.
