Mark A. Hawkins, Ph.D., is an author, educator, and clinical counselor. He has been interviewed by The New York Times, The Daily Telegraph, and several other news outlets and podcasts for his ideas. His research focuses on interdisciplinary understandings of meaning and purpose as they relate to human well-being. Mark was published in the Journal of Humanistic Psychology and is the author of The Power of Boredom: Why Boredom is Essential for Creating a Meaningful Life, and The Mismatched Human: Our Fight for a Meaningful Existence. He lives, researches, and writes with his wife, Yoona, in Vancouver, British Columbia.
