Summary

I am not a parenting expert and I don’t always make the right parenting choices. I’m definitely not sure we get it right with screen time, candy, or bedtime at our house… But the most important thing to me as my child enters his tween era is that he trusts me and believes he can talk to me when things are hard. There are a few things that I have done really consciously and consistently over the years that are paying off as V gets older. There are also some new things that I’m trying that have been effective. I wanted to share them with you as we all venture through Shameless Motherhood. You are not alone in this journey. We are in it together. As Glennon says, we belong to each other. When our children struggle, it’s easy to immediately assume blame, become consumed with doubt, and feel really stuck in dysfunctional patterns. Sharing our fumbles and our wins can not only help us process but also help us feel less alone on this journey which can feel incredibly isolating and confusing at times. 0:59.2	holiday season. And I think I'm ready. It's November 1st as I record this. So we're just past
1:05.1	Halloween heading toward Thanksgiving. A couple of mom friends of mine have texted me in the last
1:08.9	week asking if it's okay to turn on Christmas
1:10.9	music and I'm giving full permission. Not that I'm the authority on that, but if you're ready,
1:15.4	I say, like, why not make the world a little bit more enjoyable? And I feel like we've kind of been in
1:19.2	this position since COVID. Like, why not just extend the holidays? There's few opportunities
1:24.0	to create magic right now with so many, the world, you know, continuing to present us with big and hard problems. So make magic wherever you can. Make Christmas as long as you
1:32.1	want to make it or whatever holidays you're going to celebrate. If you can extend them in either
1:35.8	direction, go for it. So I'm assuming we will have Christmas music starting anytime at our house
