Welcome to the Bible study podcast. I'm your host, Chris Christensen.

I'm going to jump right into First Timothy today,

0:22.1

starting in chapter four. The spirit clearly says in later times some will abandon the faith

0:27.3

and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through

0:32.8

And therefore he is saying they're following deceiving spirits

1:44.3

taught by demons.

1:45.7

There are some cases, for instance, where certain sects in church history have decided that

1:51.0

they would forbid people to marry, and they would, there's certain sex, for instance,

1:56.0

and Paul may be referring to some of these that are coming out of a Greek tradition,
