0:00.0	If you've ever attended the traditional Latin Mass and then you've celebrated the new
0:08.1	Mass, the Novus Ordo Misei, which was put together, promulgated 1969, went into effect in
0:15.1	1970, you honestly can't help but compare the two liturgies.
0:23.0	There are some similarities, but they are very distinct.
0:26.0	The thing you notice right away is the difference in language, the traditional Latin Mass is in,
0:30.3	Latin, the Novus Ordo, though it may retain Latin in certain places, usually it doesn't,
0:35.6	most times, it's in the vernacular.
0:38.4	And then also you'll notice that the priest faces the people over the altar at the Novus
0:44.9	Ordo, generally there are some exceptions.
0:48.0	And it's much more face to face, it's much more communal.
0:52.8	People who promoted the Novus Ordo Mass and like the Novus Ordo Mass actually say, I like
0:58.4	it because it's more communal, more community focused, more in a circle.

1:19.8	the people to Christ, leading the people to Christ in the one sacrifice of Christ.
1:28.4	Now I was shocked, honestly, I was shocked.
1:32.8	When I read the words of Pope Paul VI in 1969, as he was beginning to roll out the new Mass,
1:40.8	and some of the words that he uses for the new Mass, you would think what I'm about
