Summary

I know what it’s like to just not. Just not try the new sport. Just not sign up for the art class. Just not join the group of people whom I assume are smarter than me.  Just not take that professional leap. Just not attend the event with people who seem to have it all figured out.  Just not chase a dream.  Just not admit I really want something. Just not believe I’m worth it. I’m curious if you ever get a case of the Just Nots? Perhaps this happens to you when you think something miiiight be kinda cool, but then you decide it feels too risky, too scary, or too vulnerable. You start to make up a bunch of reasons that it’s just not the right time. Just not the right fit for you.  Just not the next right step. And you end up Just Not doing the damn thing.   And then, you find yourself sad, mad, disappointed, full of regret, maybe feeling some shame, and likely making promises about how next time you Just Will.  In this episode I talk through what the Just Nots look like and how they can impact your life. Then, we dig into the Just Wills - the fun stuff - where all sorts of magic happens.   It’s ok if you’re typically a Just Not kinda person. But, I think (hope) this episode nudges you to be a little bit more of a Just Will person.   Link mentioned: Join my October Retreat for Women Entrepreneurs: Influence & Ignite: Be the CEO and Thought Leader You Were Born to Be: shamelessmom.com/bizretreat We love the sponsors that make this show possible! Hello, Shameless moms. Happy. Oh, my goodness. I'm actually recording on a Wednesday,

0:59.8

as I often do, but it feels like a Monday because there's the most oppressive rain in Seattle right now.

1:06.7

And it's like the clouds or the sky is so heavy and dark, and it has been for the last

1:12.1

couple days. And it was, like, this isn't abnormal for us, but the shift from like full sun

1:20.3

and like a very rain-free summer to just overnight, like, flash flooding, it's a lot to get

1:27.4

used to. Like, we're all a little like, wait,

1:30.1

what's what? I think I had my wettest walk to school ever with Vinnie and Piper this morning.

1:36.0

It just feels like a real abrupt shift from summer to fall that I did not see coming. Like,

1:41.2

I was not prepared. I do not have my, like, puffy coats out yet.

1:44.3

And clearly I'm, like, way behind now. So wherever you are, I hope that you're, you know,

1:49.7

navigating this shift in seasons as well as can be expected, especially if it's like you didn't
