He is my cousin and he is a legendary musician in his own right.

And, you know, we have been kind of talking over ideas for episodes.

And, you know, this new season, I'm really wanting to be flexible and open and talking about different stuff.

And Boston brought this.

And also I'm bringing in outside voices.

Like, that's something you should expect in this season as we've commissioned out some stories with other people.

And this was kind of one that Boston brought to me, which was about this record label,

Nea Beat.

Can you tell me a little bit about what your exposure to Nea Beat was, Basim?

Yeah, I've long been interested in old Indian Pakistani music.

It seems like everybody is nowadays.

And yeah, just when I heard links from Neobit,

it was oftentimes like reggae or rock songs covered by Pakistani or Indian artists

in their own language.
