This is an episode of our book club, but because we do not have, we're not on the treadmill,

folks.

We're not on the award treadmill. And so we just get

to sort of, yet, to choose books that probably will be on the award treadmill. And then we will

have read them in advance. Ha, ha. Ha, ha. I love it. Uh, anyway, we're going to be talking

about the incandescent, a book by Emily Tesh. We, uh, previously talked about some desperate glory as one of the nominees that she wrote.

That was her first novel.

But we're back to talk about this.

Look how many people are reading books, everybody.

I don't know what they say about how people don't read books anymore. There's so many people reading books on this podcast alone.

that might be a really fun idea, is that before award season begins, we make a stab at guessing

what books will be on the list. That might be fun. Yeah, sure, sure. That would be nice. The problem, danger is if you're wrong and you try to do some reading ahead, you're like, oh, I read a book that I didn't need to read. The biggest, the most horrible crime of all.
