This week's guest is a wonderful human being, a person I've known for very, very long time,

decades at this point. You may not know who she is from her name alone, if you're not,

unless you're very ingrained in Hollywood and its inner workings.

But you have probably seen something that she has been a part of.

Stephen Spielberg's Empire of the Sun, the Joy Luck Club,

the People versus Larry Flint, the animated feature over the moon.

If you have seen any of those projects, then you have been touched by Janet Yang.

Janet was a very young executive way back in the 80s, late 80s.

And she came up with and pitched the idea to do a biopic about Bruce Lee.

And that project became Dragon the Bruce Lee story.

So I met her way back then.

And we have been in touch and continued not only a friendship, but a working relationship

as well over these many years.

We're working on a project together now.

We hope to bring to fruition and I hope to be able to talk to you about in the future.

But aside from being a very big Hollywood producer, Janet is also the co-founder of Goldhouse,

a nonprofit collective of Asian cultural leaders.

She's a longstanding member of the Committee of 100, and she is also the first Asian-American

president of the Academy Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

So to say that her accomplishments are big is a bit of an understatement.
