There are seven bone chillingly short days left until the 2022 midterm elections.

The most consequential elections of our lifetimes, I don't think at this point that that is

an overstatement.

It's been a really disturbing week on all sorts of fronts.

Both OPEC and Elon Musk seem to have joined the Republican Party both readily and are

going to do anything they can to throw the election to the Republicans and yet another

election cycle, the Republicans win by cheating, lying and stealing.

The Supreme Court seems poised to overturn decades of precedence and get rid of affirmative

action, which has been one of the most successful programs in this country's history.

The political violence in this country on the right is out of control and yet an attempted

assassination on the woman who is second in line to the presidency has been treated like

a fucking joke by the leaders of the Republican Party who are directly responsible for the

kinds of rhetoric and actions, quite frankly, that led to the attempted assassination

in the first place, of course, the mainstream media seems once again to be asleep on the

job, not only not treating this incident with the seriousness it deserves, failing to frame

it properly, but also by misleading its readers and viewers by allowing partisan Republican

polling to be factored into their assessment of what is going to happen next week.

So I'm just going to start here by saying if you want to save your democracy, vote early

because voting early is really good for Democrats.

And the last thing I'll say before I bring in Jen and Dahlia is if you're white, if you're

male, if you're Christian, if you're straight or any combination of those things, oh yeah,

if you're rich, if you're any combination of those things, please think very carefully
