Who demanded it? I mean, uh, us, because we want the hits. We're doing an episode on Sir Christopher Nolan. The first part is to

pledge. So, Chris Nolan, he's a director. What is there to say? Yeah. Like what, this is not

virgin terrain. No. Everyone's been over this. There's no way that we can say anything about

him that won't come across as received wisdom.

So we're going to do what only we can do and is talk about him in the context of us being teenagers and getting into his films.

Yeah. So when did you were a fan of Christopher Nolan as a teenager?

Every male white upper middle class teenage boy is a Christopher Nolan fan.

It's Fight Club, Memento, and I don't know.

And, you know, along came Batman Begins.

Oh, yeah.

And Batman Begins was so much fun when it came out.

Because, you know, for us as very smart teenagers,

we were like, finally, somebody is taking the Batman seriously. So that's what we should say

right off the bat of what does Christopher Nolan represent and what is he actually? I think he represents

seriousness. Yes. He represents blockbusters with brains. He represents none of that, none of that goofy like Luke Basson bullshit.

None of that Marvel Comics idiocy.
