This story, today's story presents a stark contrast between the power of Jesus

and the inability of men.

Our story today comes from the Gospel of Mark chapter 9.

Let's jump in.

Scene 1, highs and lows.

At this point in his ministry,

Jesus has already done some incredible things.

Todd he's healed a blind man he's fed thousands of people with food that came from

virtually nowhere he's healed a deaf guy remove from folks, and he's even walked on water.

But so many people are still uncertain as to who Jesus is.

And when they were asked, some of the folks said said Jesus is John the Baptist raised from the dead or others said he was

Elijah who had remember Elijah he never died so they said he went to heaven and now he's come back

This is Elijah. He's returned so they said he went to heaven and now he's come back this is

Elijah he's returned up your bald head yep and some people said Jesus is a

prophet just like they were prophets in the Old Testament and then others said

this man's a blaspheer so this is a real
