Our win total preview for the upcoming NFL season rolls on.

We have Ken Barclays, explanation of eight buckets for everybody.

Jake, go ahead and play it.

Yeah, playing eight buckets.

So Nick and I have bucket hats on.

That's two buckets.

We have the bucket of bets right here.

That's three buckets.

We will draw a team out of the bucket, an NFL team.

Whoever we draw, we will go through every game on their schedule, all 17. And when we go through each individual game, we will ask ourselves what the point spread will be in that game. And based on our consensus answer, we will then put that game into one of five buckets of games. Blowout win and blowout loss, if the spread is seven or more in each direction, likely win win and likely loss if the spread is between three and six and a half in each direction and then toss-up games which the spread is less than three so you know one team by one the other team by two and a half these are toss-ups and why does each bucket matter because depending on what bucket a game goes in, that's how many wins you get.

So if it's a blowout win, you get a full win for that. If it's a likely win, toss up, likely lost any of the other ones, you get less than a full win to varying degrees. So we go through every game, we add them up, add up all the games and all the buckets, and it gives us a number. Let me compare that number to the number in the market for the win total. and it's sort of one way of many, many ways

that you can think about NFL win totals.
