Hey everybody, Mark here at the top of the show. We're excited to talk about PS5. We're excited to talk about Japan, games, Japanese games, all that stuff. That show is still happening. But we did want to take some time at the top of the, uh, more important things, kind of what's going on

in the world. This, this is not, you know, a podcast around social issues, but, uh, we are

human beings, uh, and, uh, we do recognize there are more important things going on in

the world right now.

So even if it's not our forte or our specialty, we did want to, you know, both acknowledge that and encourage people to go out and learn and listen and get educated like we're trying to do here now.

So, you know, I guess I would say that even though we're physically located in Japan,

a lot of us are Americans really aware and watching what's going on with, you know,

the systemic racism that we've only just witnessed another recent example of, but has been there for, well, really, since the founding of of the, since the founding of the country, but

really come to the limelight again recently. And, uh, you know, our thoughts are there with the people

protesting and taking action. And, um, and yeah, we're're really encouraged by by some of the signs that

uh that it does seem to be having an effect um but but yeah basically that uh we just wanted

to show our support show our love uh show acknowledgement of that, what's going on.

I also wanted to share just personally, because, you know, I think one of the things a lot of

people are grappling with is like, okay, well, where do I start?

What can I do?

Where can I go?

There's lots of answers for that.

Personally, one that I've found resonated the most with me and what I've been like seeing and reading about and listening about just the past couple weeks is this campaign zero join campaign zero.org.

It's a like data-based approach to really clear goals, really clear progress markers about how we can hopefully go about changing things.

And they're doing really, really great work there.

Did anybody else have anything else they were struck by or anybody want to take a turn up here on the soapbox?

I think, you know, we should probably pool together after this and put some links together that we can put on the podcast page, you know, things like the Black Lives Matter movement.
