Say tomorrow we're going to have a guy on who's making quite a name for himself at the fair

As the maybe the most intense fair gore his name is Matt doll and rock hill beyond tomorrow with us but guess what we got now old friend sandy the official garage logic quilter i sandy and our whole body gym nagel how many people do you think we killed off over the years

let's say roughly maybe 10th aisle

y'all remember gym nagel had the great demonstration that would prove to people watching why you never should get near a downed power line

now is that is that been retired that display well yes as far as we did because we used to train police fire crane operatives so on so forth go to school

but I thought we were just getting doled or whatever I don't know I was hoping you'd bring it out one more time to kill off another bunch of people

we want to do but they got the god darn kid that whatever so but there is a demo on on over in the grandstand but they just it's not the same thing as we had

oh no because we could see the sparks and then we'd ring a bell and boom somebody go ask right you have G.I. Joe with the kung fu grip climbing up the pool and that family Zappa sandy have you ever met a gym no but I've heard him many years

yeah nice thank you and thank you for your service and sandy you are you're a champion quilter I am and you've won here at the state fair yes I have and you've brought quilts to us before

yeah this was kind of impromptu and I saw in the court I want to get my life but I don't carry them around with me are you competing at this year state fair no but I do machine quilt for others and I have a couple of customer quilts up in the creative arts building and one of them does have a blue ribbon on it

okay I had to have a champion we have to have champions here we can't have a third place winner a participation ribbon you won the thing

I do still work at the Dakota County Fair and the needle works super intended right and I do enter and I did get several ribbons there as well Jim how many years did you come to the fair with that exhibit here

I think I quit in 2015 or 2014 yeah so I about 20 about 23 24 years so we were killing people between about 1996 and 2012 or 2013

and you would haul over that heavy and lucky kid it was cumbersome too I was yeah but I enjoyed yeah I just I just loved it especially when we go to schools and kidded ask a question the first thing they'd say well you know if I can get here how come bird could sit on their wire I was telling them because we got special rubber gloves you know but I tell them that the birds got rubber feet and they say rubber feet you know

whatever and then I show them all bird because a bird doesn't touch another wire to complete a circuit or something that's ground or to ground like them

they're on the wire and they touch the pole the poles in the ground boom they're done right but I could touch your wire if I'm not grounded yeah but if you're grounded we can ring the bell and you're done yeah you're done yeah

or if you grab another wire you know you get the big eagles yeah big span they'll go between between what we call the phases are to be between the two wires
