0:14.0	Republican President Donald Trump is having the United States government buy stakes in private companies.
0:22.6	This is what we used to call communism in the quaint old days when we were told Democrats are going
0:29.6	to do this.
0:30.6	There is a lot to explain here.
0:32.6	There's a lot to talk about.
0:33.6	So let me first kind of give you a little bit of information about what's happening and then
0:37.5	take a step back and discuss the political implications.
0:40.9	This latest move from Donald Trump is so wild that even the MAGA diehards are sort of scratching
0:47.1	their heads.
0:48.4	This is not the Fox News boogeyman version of if a Democrat becomes president, they will socialize or even communize.
0:58.0	I'll get to these terms in a moment, private industry.
1:02.5	This is Trump's Republican government saying we are buying a 10% stake in the private for-profit company Intel, the chipmaker,
1:15.1	that lost almost $19 billion last year and has really been struggling to compete with Taiwan's
1:21.9	TSMC. And so what the Trump administration has decided to do is to buy 10% of Intel.
1:29.9	Now, let's step back for a moment.
1:31.8	We're going to see a clip in a moment from Howard Lutnik saying we might even do this with more companies.
1:37.1	But before we do that, I want to remind you that it has been Republicans warning us.
1:43.6	Democrats either want to turn the country socialist or turn the country communist.
1:51.0	Now, you can ask 10 different people for their definitions of socialism and communism.
