I think the word that I've used this week is anxious, very, very anxious, because I want to know, with greater context, what we're seeing!

And on that note, we have some thoughts on that today that we'll do in the second hour of the show, Tom and myself!

We were talking today during the show prep, whatever you want to call it, and we were kind of talking a little bit about some of the conversations we've been having!

And as we were in the middle of that conversation, because we were kind of going back and forth, there was a give and take of ideas!

We said, wait, let's just stop talking about this and save it for the show, because I think this is interesting! It's about perspective, it's about not only observations through camp, but projections!

And a lot of things that we think we know, or we're not sure we know, and some stuff that we outright don't know, and some things that we think for sure we're positive of, and what it all means!

But I do know that I'm anxious because I just think to myself, man, this is a vital, vitally important season, and it's really, really, really crucial to Mike Norbell and his future here!

So I'm not going to beat around the bush here, I'm rooting for this guy to succeed!

Like Mike Norbell and I don't go out hanging out, and go to the park together, and go see movies, and have lunch, and all that!

I mean, that's not... But I like him! He's a good guy!

And I also think he's a good coach, but I say it on this show all the time, that one thing 20 plus years in this business has taught me, and observational...

You know, I would say this, context clues and everything else that we read into that you learn over time, and there's a lot of good coaches that don't work out for whatever reason, just things that happen wrong time, wrong place, wrong moment, one misstep, one miscalculation, and so sometimes it doesn't work out, even if you like the guy!

Other times, a guy works out, and you don't like him, and you don't think he's a real good coach!

Like, I was having a conversation today with a friend, Tom.

How annoying is it that LSU picked the wrong guy in one national championship?

FSU picked the wrong guy and had started over with nothing to show for it, less than two and a half years later!
