Israel and Hamas are giving cool receptions to a proposal by Egypt to end their war. The plan calls for a phased hostage release that in exchange

for several Palestinian prisoners held by Israel. It also calls for the formation

of a Palestinian government of experts to administer the Gaza Strip and occupied

West Bank, that according to a senior Egyptian official familiar with the proposal.

Meanwhile, there have been more gruesome discoveries. with the of five hostages were found in this intricate network of tunnels.

This week Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's wife, Sarah, wrote a letter to Pope Francis

asking for help to pressure Hamas to free the remaining hostages.
