A Chicago district judge has temporarily blocked the Trump administration's effort to deploy the National Guard to that city.

Federal Judge April Perry explained her decision in part saying, quote,

I have found no credible evidence that there is a danger of rebellion in the state of Illinois. Throughout

the hearing today, Perry tried to drill down exactly what National Guard troops will be doing

during their deployment. And Justice Department attorneys repeatedly could not answer her in any

sort of detail. Fox is Garrett-Tenny in Broadview, Illinois. Judge Perry, appointed by President

Joe Biden, also questioned the credibility of the administration's claims that the troops are needed due to violent protests at the Broadview Ice facility.

Border Patrol commander Greg Bovino tells Fox News it's a temporary setback.

The Israeli cabinet has approved the outline of the deal to release the hostages held by Hamas.

Phase one of the deal includes all remaining hostages and hundreds of Palestinian prisoners to be released.

This is the implementation of the first

phase. There will be a ceasefire. And then the commitment within 72 hours of Hamas to release

all the hostages that should bring the end to this war. A ceasefire had not yet taken effect

when the IDF struck a suspected group of Hamas

militants who got too close to them in northern Gaza. The second phase of the plan includes

Hamas withdrawing from Gaza and relinquishing its weapons. It's not clear how that will be
