The Texas Attorney General acquitted, I'm Ted Lindner, Fox News, and battle Texas

Attorney General Ken Paxton acquitted on Saturday in charges of corruption, bribery

and abuse of power.

The Texas State Senate voted to clear him, which allows him to reclaim his role as the

State's top lawyer.

He'd been accused of using his office to protect a donor, but Paxton still facing a trial

on felony securities fraud charges and remains under a separate FBI investigation.

While the National Weather Service, still warning of possible strong rip currents this evening

for New England, as well as some heavy rains still in the eastern portions of the state

of Maine, tens of thousands of people in Maine lost power over the weekend, as Hurricane

Lee and the remains of it now moving across Canada, many trees knocked over, roads blocked

as well.

I think a lot of people here in the Portland area breathing a sigh of relief.

It doesn't seem like the impacts of now tropical cyclone Lee were as bad as initially anticipated

now.

All that's left to do is check out the ocean.
