I'm Matt Napolitano, Fox News, Hurricane Hillary has been downgraded to a category two storm

but officials across the Southwest, especially California, are getting ready for a system

that could bring record-setting rainfall and life-threatening flooding.

Hurricane Hillary is expected to make landfall in Baja, California, where they are already

seen stormy conditions.

Then the hurricane is expected to weaken into a tropical storm that could bring torrential

rain to Southern California and Nevada, and there is also the threat of mudslides and

even tornadoes.

Crews are working hard, sandbagging low-line areas, and parts of Southern California

and Arizona, law enforcement telling people to be ready to possibly be without power.

They say if you have to get out of your house, have your bags packed and ready to go.

President Joe Biden says the federal government is ready and willing to help.

City officials are warning people to stay clear of the beaches because of possible

dangerous waves.

There's mounting criticism over the response to these deadly wildfires, including a decision
