This is the Fox News Alert. The talks have concluded. I'm Lisa Lissara. After more than two and a half hours, the three-on-three meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Trump, and members of their diplomatic team are over in their news conference just getting underway. Before the meeting, the president told Fox is Brett Baer.

It's not for me to negotiate a deal

for Ukraine, but I can certainly set the table to negotiate the deal. And our next meeting will have

President Zelensky and President Putin and probably me. During the news conference, Russian President

Vladimir Putin said he thought the talks went well. the talks taking place at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage. A court hearing this afternoon as Washington, D.C. challenges the move by the Trump administration to take over its police department. D.C. residents are worried and concerned, and we have a surge of federal officers.

Chief Smith's job during this week has been to make sure that if we have and while we have federal officers,

that they are being used strategically.

Mayor Muriel Bowser, the D.C. government argues President Trump violated the Home Rule Act,

which gives the president the ability to take control of D.C. without congressional approval.

The president claims crime in D.C. has gotten out of control, but Mayor Bowser says violent crime is at a 30-year low.

A special session called in Texas as Republicans look to approve new congressional maps

ahead of next year's midterm elections.

Immediately after the first failed special session ended Friday in the Texas State House.

House stands adjourned, sign he died.

Governor Greg Abbott ordering another special session and again Democrats who fled the state.

To prevent a quorum needed for now remain no

shows as Republicans look to

redistrict house seats and take up other

issues including property tax cuts
