A storm is brewing. I'm Paul Stevens Fox News as Tropical Storm Debbie closes in on the

Gulf Coast the majority of the state of Florida now under a state of emergency a

storm surge could reach up to 10 feet.

Some areas could get anywhere from 5 to 30 inches of rain.

National Hurricane Center Director, Dr. Michael Brendan,

warning the impacts of Debbie are going far beyond Florida.

The Florida Big Bend coastline where we're going to see the life-threatening storm surge inundation

as well as hurricane force winds near where the landfall occurs.

Then we're going to see longer term,

potentially catastrophic flooding event

from heavy rainfall unfold,

especially in coastal Georgia and coastal South Carolina

as we go through the week.

Now the flooding impacts are expected to be especially severe and low-lying areas near the coast

for cities like Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina.

The watch continues on who current Vice President

Kamala Harris might pick to be her VP running mate for the November

White House race. Several Democrats are said to meet with her in DC.

Former Attorney General Eric Holder was spotted at the Naval Observatory on Saturday.

Holder and his law firm are reportedly leading the vetting process.

Per the Washington Post, Holder gave presentations on the potential candidates.
