Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps attacked a cargo ship in the strait today.

A U.S. official is confirming that an Iranian drone hit that cargo vessel called the Ever Lovely as it was exiting the Strait of Hormuz off the Omani coast.

The ship is Singapore flagged. UK authorities say there was damage to the ship's bridge,

but no casualties. The attack violates the memorandum of understanding signed between the U.S.

and Iran just eight days ago. that deal had helped sharply increase the
