This is a Fox News alert. The agreement signed. I'm Lee Silicera. President Trump has signed off on the deal with Iran, setting up negotiations over the country's nuclear program. President Trump signed the Memorandum of Understanding during a G7 dinner in Paris, ahead of a plan signing ceremony Friday. The agreement requires Iran to open up the

strut of Hormuz for toll-free transit and lifts the U.S. naval blockade.

And it's a memorandum of understanding. If it doesn't get done in 60 days, it's all right.

We go back to bombing. You know, I don't want to do that because it's so good.

President Trump says the U.S. is not providing money to Iran, though the agreement does

require waiving sanctions on Iran's oil exports.

With the MOU sign, negotiations now begin on a process for downgrading Iran's highly

enriched uranium.

Fox is Jared Halperin in Washington.

But a spokesman for Iran's foreign ministry says if Israel's attacks on Lebanon continue, that will be considered a breach of the agreement.

The president derailing a confirmation hearing for Jay Clayton, his pick to become the next director of national intelligence.

Late this morning, Intelligence Committee Chairman Tom Cotton said the committee would proceed with Clayton, quote, unless the

president directs him not to. Then Cotton canceled the hearing. He said it was, quote,

regrettable that the president has directed Jay Clayton not to appear. Democrats accused the president

of playing with fire on national security. The president also says he will not sign a renewal of the nation's

top anti-terrorism program, FISA, until lawmakers passed the Save America Act.

Fox's Chad Pergram on Capitol Hill, the Save America Act is a bill that would strengthen

voter ID laws. Jamaica's national security minister says the country is in discussions with the U.S.

to accept third country deportees.

The deportees would reportedly not be placed in detention,

though details of where they would be housed are still to be determined.
