All to 700 Marines are on their way here to be deployed in L.A. Their mission to protect federal personnel and federal property.

Well, the governor of California, Gavin Newsom, not happy about it. He posted on X in part,

quote, saying that this is a deranged fantasy from a dictatorial president to send the Marines down

here. And he believes that the Marines should not be deployed on U.S. soil against American citizens.

LAPD down here, an unlawful assembly has just been declared. More protesters are showing up.

Fox is Bill Maloochin in Los Angeles. President Trump claims Los Angeles would have burned out

if he hadn't sent in the National Guard to intervene. Some wonderful National Guard.

The state of California has already announced it suing over the move,

saying the decision is a violation of state sovereignty and an illegal takeover.

House Speaker Mike Johnson says he's optimistic Congress can pass President Trump's sweeping tax cut and spending measure in the next few weeks.
