Millions expected to hit the road. I'm Lisa Lissera, Fox News, but don't expect to get a break

on gas prices this Memorial Day weekend. The nation's average price at gas sitting at $3.60 per gallon.

Now this is six cents more expensive than last year's average at this time.

And our friends over in California who are road

tripping should expect an average of $5.13 per gallon today.

Triple A says more than 3.5 million people are expected to travel by air this weekend.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin having a medical procedure at Walser Reed National Medical

Center tonight and will transfer power to his

deputy. The Pentagon says it's to follow up on a bladder issue he'd had that is not

related to his prostate cancer diagnosis. While the procedure is expected to be

minimally invasive a statement says the

secretary is determined he will be temporarily unable to perform his duties

so deputy secretary of defense Kathleen Hicks will assume the functions of

secretary of Defense.

Foxes, Jessica Rosenthal, Austin is scheduled to travel to Singapore, Cambodia, and France

next week.

The Pentagon says this procedure is not expected to impact that travel.
