Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves says one person was killed and 22 others

including eight children shot after a victory parade for Super Bowl

Champions Kansas City Chiefs and now three people are detained. Right now we're

still working on a a total of number of victims. This is still an active investigation.

She says police are examining video which may confirm the identity of one of those

in custody. We are working to determine if one of the three are the one

that was in that video where fans assisted police. The NFL issuing a statement

saying they're deeply saddened by the senseless shooting and our thoughts are with

the victims and everyone affected. Special Counsel Jack Smith has asked the Supreme

Court to let former President Trump's 2020 election interference case proceed to trial without further

delay. Smith was responding to a request from Trump's defense team earlier in the

week asking for a continued pause in the case as the court considers whether to take up the

question of whether the former president is immune from prosecution for official acts he took

while in office. A top House Republican wants President Biden to

declassify information about a serious national security threat.

White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan says he's briefing

congressional leaders Thursday and would not publicly discuss the matter.
