defends the US-led strikes in Yemen as the administration weighs whether to

designate the Iran-backed rebels in Yemen, a terror organization.

Inside an Allentown, Pennsylvania coffee shop, President Biden was asked if the Hutis and

Yemen are terrorists.

Answering, I think they are.

The administration is conducting a review on designating the Hutis as a foreign terror

organization.

A few hours later, the president was asked if he

was willing to make that designation. It's irrelevant whether the designated. We've

put together a group of nations that are going to say that they continue to act

behaviors they do will respond.

The State Department removed the Hootes from a list of foreign terror organizations in 2021

to ensure U.S. policies did not impede humanitarian aid from reaching Yemen.

Foxes, Jared Halpern at the White House Pentagon spokesman General Pat Ryder, says

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, monitor yesterday strikes from Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

The secretary is executing his full duties with his full authorities right now.

In terms of when he comes out of the hospital, I don't have an update to provide.

Clearly that will be something that's done in

consultation with his doctors.

Ryder says Austin was actively engaged in overseeing and directing the strikes

while today he's been in contact with top Pentagon officials and top members of the House and Senate Armed Services
