So this weekend, or last weekend, I did a thing, a producer friend teaches a class at a university in Indiana on screenwriting.

And he asked me to come talk to his students via Zoom.

And I did.

And it was, I love talking to college kids.

They still seem alive, you know. And they were. They still seem alive you know and uh they they still have a they still have

hope they still have hope and but there was this one girl she was fucking amazing i loved her so

much because she had clearly googled me right before we came on so i hadn't gone in deep

and you know we're asking writing questions and stuff. And she goes,

I see you also do a podcast about the West Wing. I wonder, and forgive me, but I mean,

I wonder what you think of like the criticism some people have leveled at the show that its politics were kind of simplistic and stupid and, in a way, sort of impacted some of the

worst aspects of the administration.

And I'm just sitting there.

I'm like, you should listen to the show.

You should be on the show.

It was glorious.

It was glorious.

But it also means we're not reaching everyone.

We could be reaching.

Well, that's very hard these days. That's a tall task to reach people. Yes, it is. Also, by the way, we got an email from our friend, our employer, Vlad, Dave, congratulating us on perpetuating sexism by calling it out,

which is a thing we do.

Somehow by calling out the sexism of the West Wing.

We're perpetuating sexism.
