Welcome to this is Jen favorite podcast by a mom of six standup comic. It's I'm crushing it in that area. This is definitely number one.

0:16.0

In that space. I am so glad for you to be joining us. I think this might be our last live episode for a little while. I'm not sure we will still do episodes weekly.

0:28.0

But I am on tour so my schedule is a little crazy. Some days I have Wednesday night shows. So I'm traveling on Tuesdays. So we might we might tape on money.

0:36.0

You don't need to know the details who really cares. The point is we just might not be live every now and then while I am on tour speaking of which this week on the 23rd.

0:47.0

I am in Raleigh, North Carolina. My mom is coming to that show. And some of my relatives is about my mom's whole side of the family is from the Raleigh Durham area. That's kind of like a home away from home for me.

1:00.0

So we are at the Raleigh improv. So you know, if you hear a heckler. If you hear someone shouting me down, you know, telling me to shut up and get off the stage. It might be my mom. It might be my mom.

1:10.0

But and announcement about that with every show I do, I try to make it an all VIP show for this tour. I probably not future tours. I logistically, I might not be able to this tour. I am trying to make it all VIP shows, meaning you don't have to have a special ticket. I will stay and hang out and I will sign things and I will take pictures and we'll have a lot of fun.

1:31.0

In Ohio, where I was last week, they've really never seen anyone who, you know, had that that kind of crowd and didn't bring merch. So they took pity on me and the club brought napkins. There were just plain cocktail napkins that I was signing for people. And that was my merch because that's where I am in life.

1:51.0

But no, I had people stopping at Walmart to get things for me to sign. You guys take care of me. See that you guys are my village. I can't manage getting merch anywhere ever. So you guys stop at Walmart. Very exciting. I might, I might bring some coosies to my Raleigh show actually. So I have confirmed Raleigh will be an all VIP event, meaning when you come to that show, you can hang out with me afterwards. The club is being super generous and cool about that.

2:17.0

And my mom will be there. So you will be hanging out with my mom and possibly an array of cousins and uncles as well. You can get those tickets and any others at J F comedy tour.com. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So let's try that again. I didn't properly set shady up for this. Okay. So you can get those tickets and more at J F comedy tour.com.

2:43.0

Okay, excellent, excellent. Let's go ahead and wait. Last week, I last week I hit some pretty significant hot button topics. I was talking about I coined some terms. Did I not? I was talking about being regular gay versus Gen Z gay. Did you miss that? That was episode 78. You can look that one up. I didn't get any feedback on that that nobody had any opinions about that.

3:10.0

But was I wrong? Was I wasn't wrong? I was not wrong. So I said I said by request, I will continue theorizing about what's going on with Gen Z and their ideas about gender and sexuality and things like that. So the fun continues. I am, let's do it again. Let's let's continue because I do think these are really important topics and I don't know anyone with kids ages 12 to 18.

3:36.0

I mean, who isn't having these kind of discussions in some way, whether it's their kids are into this or their kids friends are into this. Everyone, this is everywhere with with Gen Z kids. And I guess Gen Z is what people under what like 22 or something.

3:51.0

So we will get to that in a moment that that will be the main topic on this podcast. And if that's all you came here for skip ahead about 10 minutes. That's probably where we'll jump in. I want to tell you two fun things.

4:03.0

Did you know there are cities where they have Uber or lift or whatever like they have the service, but it's not a thing like there aren't drivers or anything. So you can't do that. And they also don't have rental cars and the hotels don't have shuttle services.

4:20.0

Did you guys know, did you know going to tell you that story.

4:25.0

But so I was on the phone with Shady. I was on the phone with someone yesterday. It was a producer. That's all I can say. It was about a media opportunity, which I don't think is going to move forward. But I was talking to this person.

4:40.0

But person great person. I hope to remain connected with this person who is great. And he said, yeah, I just found you because I was looking up Austin comics. I was googling Austin comedy Austin comedy scene. That sort of thing. So I came up.

4:53.0

So he wasn't familiar with with anything with my background. And he said, yeah, I mean, I just discovered you. And he said, I saw it like I saw some videos of you. And it's like you and your daughter do something together.

5:05.0

And I was like, well, it's, I can't think of a video. I've done with my daughter. And I said, Oh, do you mean my podcast. That's my producer, Shady. And this man was about to commit subpooku.

5:18.0

I sensed that he and you know, for my male listeners, you guys know, that's like, it's sort of like asking a woman if she's pregnant that he was, he was really ready to go into seclusion.

5:31.0

And it should just start a new life as with a different name. He thought I'd be very offended. I, but I wasn't a Shady's hot like that's a compliment to imply that we are related in some way. And look, ladies, I sometimes when people make these comments, I had people.
