and my goal is to give beginning gardeners the Last night, I dreamed all night about my garden. You know it's getting serious when you're starting

to dream about your garden, right? But it's that time of year when everything is starting to get

going and it's new and fresh and exciting. And you have all these plans of how your garden is going to go

for the season. But it's also this time of year where we can get a little bit starry-eyed

because we don't anticipate what could and might actually go wrong throughout the season.

That's why I wanted to bring you an episode that talked about one of those things that you

might be having to deal with this gardening season. And I chose this topic

specifically because in my free Facebook group, the Beginners Garden Shortcut, at the end of last

season, I asked a question, which insect pests were the worst problems for you in your garden?

And let me tell you, I got a lot of

responses, but one response continued to come up over and over again, and that was the cabbage

worm. I have to admit that I don't have near the pest problems that I used to now that I have

transitioned my garden to an organic garden

and I don't even use organic pesticides unless absolutely necessary. But I do still have

trouble with the cabbage worm. This is one that has continued to show up in my brassica crops

like broccoli and cabbage, but they also can show up on other

crops as well. So I wanted to devote an episode, especially early in the season. That way,

you can have the chance to not only deal with them if you notice them in your garden, but more

importantly, prevent them like I'm trying to do this year. So today we're going to be

talking all about how to organically prevent and control the cabbage worm. But before we get
