Since next week is Thanksgiving,

I thought I'd share a few thoughts about cheerfulness and feasting.

First, let's look at Proverbs 15-15.

All the days of the afflicted are evil,

but he that is of a merry heart,

have the continual feast.

This is such a great verse.

We have, here we have two people contrasted.

The first one is afflicted,

and all the days of the afflicted are evil.

So this first person is afflicted,

and we should have pity for and patience with the afflicted person

when they see all their days as evil,

because we can't know how difficult it is for them.

And all we know is that they are bearing a lot of weight

and so we should not be hard on them,

but help them and pray for them

...
