So you live in Colorado now, but you started your career in restaurants in Arizona?

Yep, yes.

I started busing tables.

It'll be 30 years this August.

Wow, because you don't look that old.

I mean, you know.

I was somewhat young. you're the high school you know punk rock 1983

We're the boss now.

You had some early mentors in the game?

Yeah, I really did have some early mentors.

You know, going back to like, even someone I bust tables for in the mid 80s, a guy named Tom Kaufman.

And you can find mentors all along the way, and I hope everyone does.

And someone like that, Eric Calderon at the Little Nell Hotel, phenomenal.

I mean, I still think about what he and his management team did for me at the

little now, and I use that every day also.

And so you started in Arizona,

but then you ended up moving to Colorado

to work at the Nell and Aspen.

Yes, that was my first journey into Colorado.
